Our Refurbishing Protocol

With our mobile command centers, we don't cut corners — only cost. By carefully choosing very lightly-driven chassis, completely stripping them, and then rebuilding with all-new components, we create fully-functioning vehicles that perform like they're brand new, for a fraction of the brand new price.

    

The chassis we source for our refurbished MCCs are in virtually new mechanical condition, a claim we ensure through layers of rigorous inspection. First, we only consider medium- to heavy-duty commercial chassis with drivetrain mileage at less than 10% of projected life. Every vehicle candidate arrives delivered with care, freshly DOT-inspected, and ready for our own stringent mechanical and safety requirements testing. With our tough criteria, we turn down many more chassis than we select, ensuring that our refurbished chassis are the highest quality possible.

Once we've selected the perfect chassis, we completely strip it and reconstruct it with all-new components and all-new technology, depending on each client's unique needs and purposes. For simpler vehicles, we might install shelving, interior lighting, lavatories, workspaces, and flooring. Advanced mobile units might require sound absorption materials, fresh exterior wraps, satellite communications technologies, PBX’s, high-capacity generators and telescoping masts. At Meridian, there are no “standard options”: every vehicle is consciously built with exactly the features it needs to serve its purpose best. Through the use of special raceway systems, vehicles are capable of being quickly and easily customized with your agency-specific upgrades or modifications.
